Our Story
It all began with a passion: a passion for homemade pizza. Like many enthusiasts, I, Catello Pezzatini, also faced the typical difficulties at the beginning that come with approaching the art of Neapolitan pizza for the first time. The biggest challenge? Getting the pizza into the oven properly without ruining the result of hours of work.
In September 2020, driven by the need to find a solution, I created the first Vesuvius stretcher peel for personal use. I never imagined that this handmade creation, shared on social media, would spark such immediate and overwhelming interest.
Requests came in straight away, in large numbers and from all over the world. From that moment, Vesuvius was born: a family-run company led by Immacolata De Simone, dedicated to all pizza lovers and professionals looking for quality tools to express their passion at its best.
The Connection to Vesuvius
The name Vesuvius is no coincidence. It comes from our Campanian roots and our deep connection to the local area. Just as Vesuvius represents the power of nature with its high temperatures, our products are designed to withstand very high-temperature ovens and are made with the same true passion as those who use them to make pizza.
Craftsmanship and Quality
Every Vesuvius product is handmade in our workshop inside the Vesuvius Store in Angri (SA). We use only top-quality materials, carefully selected to guarantee durability, performance, and safety, including MOCA-certified Teflon cloths for food contact.
From our workshop, we ship to all over the world: our website is one of the few enabled for deliveries to every country, bringing Italian quality wherever there is a passion for pizza.
