Casapulla (CE) Pizza Stone is a handcrafted artifact made from a blend of clay, pozzolan, and other minerals, designed for cooking Neapolitan pizza at temperatures close to 500°C.
These stones are completely handcrafted; after a slow drying process, they are placed in a kiln at temperatures above 900°C for approximately 13 hours. This system creates unique properties that give the Casapulla pizza stone excellent uniform heat distribution and superior resistance to extreme high temperatures.
The edges have been cut and refined for greater measurement accuracy, and its reduced thickness makes it suitable for use in home ovens as well.
This product is free of toxic and harmful substances, safe for food contact, and complies with (EU) Regulation No. 1935/2004 on materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs.
– Minor stains and small imperfections are a typical feature of this product, as it is completely handmade. These unique traits are not defects but part of the manufacturing process, and do not affect the product’s technical specifications.
Pizza Stone Seasoning Procedure:
1- Preheat the oven to 150°C, once the target temperature is reached, turn off the oven and allow the stone to cool to room temperature.
2 - Preheat the oven to 250°C, once the target temperature is reached, turn off the oven and allow the stone to cool to room temperature.
3 - Preheat the oven to 350°C, once the target temperature is reached, turn off the oven and allow the stone to cool to room temperature.
It is normal for condensation to escape from the pizza stone during the seasoning process.
If your oven cannot reach temperatures above 350°C, reduce the temperature of each step proportionally.
